Turbo trad from the Furry Village

Emerging from Galway in the mid-1990s, the legendary Furry Village are back once again to perform at Monroe’s Live on Saturday, December 14, at 8pm.

The band carved out a niche in the music scene with their fusion of traditional Irish melodies and rock.

Led by the talented Gerard Fahy, their innovative sound captivated audiences and established them as pioneers of electric trad, blending the soul of Celtic tradition with a modern sound.

This chart-topping, turbo trad group fuses traditional, classical and rock elements with strong Celtic melodies throughout, featuring uilleann pipes, flutes and whistles.

Their signature hit, ‘She Moved Through The Fair,’ soared to the top of the charts.

After a long hiatus, Furry Village has reignited their creative spark, led once again by Fahy, whose vision and passion continue to drive the group.

The band’s return has been met with excitement, with audiences eager to relive the performances that brought crowds to their feet.
