Independent Councillor Terry O’Flaherty said that she received a number of complaints and inquiries from some Renmore residents regarding the removal of the post box located in Fuschia Drive, and arising out of this she contacted An Post to see why it was removed in the first place.

“I’m happy to report that the response I received is that the post box in Fuchsia Drive, Renmore, was damaged and blown away with the storm a few weeks ago. There’s a new one ordered as soon as they receive it, they will install it immediately and have the new post box put back in the same place.

“This is good news for all those who use this post box as the concerns expressed were, was this service being taken away and they are now very pleased that it will continue and are looking forward to seeing this past box returned.”

She would like to thank An Post for their swift response regarding this matter.
