NIN + QOTSA = Jubilee

WHEN MEMBERS of Nine Inch Nails, Queens Of The Stone Age, and Wires On Fire came together, they formed Jubilee and they are heading to Galway to play the Róisín Dubh on Saturday September 27 at 8pm.

Based in Los Angeles Jubilee feature the collective talents of Aaron North (Nine Inch Nails, The Icarus Line ) on vocals and guitar; Michael Shuman (Queens of the Stone Age, Wires On Fire ) on bass and vocals; Jeff Lynn (Wires On Fire ) guitar and organ, and everyone ranging from Josh Homme to Trent Reznor to Dave Grohl on drums.

For these guys, Jubilee is a break from what they normally do and a chance to explore different interests. As Aaron North told Drop-d.ie this year: “After 12 years of playing in bands with a bunch of dudes wearing black, negativity, all the songs are about drugs or, you know, black cloud music as I call it... It’s just boring to me. To me, it’s played out. I mean, it’s cool, I’m not putting it down, me and Trent are still friends, but I just didn’t want to play that.”

The band have just released their second single, ‘In With The Out Crowd’ on 7” and CD. The CD version will have three exclusive B-sides that won’t be available on any other release, and the 7-inch version has yet another exclusive B-side, that is not on the CD version. An album is due later in the year.

Tickets are available from the Róisín Dubh, Zhivago, and Redlight Records.
