Galway GAA Community and Health Conference 2024

This year’s Galway GAA Community and Health Conference will take place on Thursday, November 14 at 8pm in the Galway GAA grounds in Loughgeorge.

The theme for this year’s conference is 'We Are Community' and the speakers include Colin Bell, founder of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, Galway footballer Gary Sice and county camogie star Niamh Hannify. The event will be MC’d by Ollie Turner.

The GAA Health Club Project aims to help GAA clubs explore how they support the holistic health of their members and the communities they serve. Based on the best national and international practice, it strives to embed a healthy philosophy in a club while integrating health into the day-to-day club activities in a sustainable way, thus making it a beacon for health in the locale.

Currently there are 27 Galway clubs involved in the GAA Healthy Clubs Programme, and some of these clubs will be showcasing projects that they have implemented this year as part of the initiative.

The event is open to all, and admission is free.
