First elected in June, the Fine Gael man said these two areas were highlighted by constituents during his local election campaign.
“There have been examples of people getting injured or falling when their foot was stuck in the grass,” he said. “Parents who might be carrying small kids in particular were very discommoded with buggies getting stuck in the grass most of the time.
“Elderly people and those with disabilities can now look forward to better bus stops and safer areas to disembark the buses that serve these routes”.
The current improvements mean bus passengers will now alight on concrete paths.
