Cassiopeia Winds

Presented by Music for Galway, Cassiopeia Winds is a group of five of Ireland’s top woodwind players whose infectious enthusiasm draws in its audiences to feel like a sixth member. Their name is inspired by a constellation in the northern sky which is formed by five bright stars.

The concert is set in an intimate space on the top floor of the Bonham Quay development in Galway’s docks with spectacular views over the city and the bay, and possibly even glimpses of the group’s celestial constellation.

This concert is also one of this season’s MfG Encores, with a slightly shortened version to be held the following night, Thursday, October 24, in Kilcummin Church, Oughterard at the same time.

Music for Galway is grant aided by the Arts Council and the MfG Encore is supported by Galway County Council Arts Office.

Tickets €7.50 to €20 from www.musicforgalway.ie or phone 091 705962.
