Sporting comedy to shake your hurl at

When Ireland's most notorious amateur sports star becomes the first man in history to fail a test for Performance Enhancing Drugs, he agrees to coach the country's worst hurlers in order to try and rebuild his shattered reputation.

The Hurler: A Campion’s Tale will be shown a An Taibhdhearc, on Saturday, October 26, as part of the 2024 Galway Comedy Festival. This special screening of a homegrown comedy hit will be followed by a question and answer session with the film’s writer, director and star, Tony Kelly, and special guests.

Many of the cast of this Irish underdog story, which hit Number 1 on Amazon Prime on release, will be together on stage at the Black Box the previous evening, Friday, October 25. These include Mario Rosenstock, Jon Kenny, alongside Karl Spain and Stephen Ryan.
