Clayton Hotel goes full ABBA

ABBAesque bill themselves as Ireland’s number one tribute show, and their homage to Sweden’s best-selling band of all time comes to Galway next month.

The Clayton Hotel in Ballybrit will host an ABBA-themed extravaganza on Saturday, November 2.

ABBAesque has been touring for 21 years, performing in excess of 150 sell out concerts each year.

Previously headlining Dublin’s 11,000 capacity Point Theatre on New Year’s Eve in 1998 and playing Saturday night residencies in the capital’s Olympia Theatre demonstrates their level of success. ABBAesque has also performed at all of Ireland’s major festivals including The Rose of Tralee, playing to ecstatic crowds of more than 10,000 people per night.

In May 2014 ABBAesque were honoured to be asked to appear on national television by RTÉ's The Late Late Show to pay homage to ABBA who were celebrating the 40th anniversary of winning the Eurovision song contest. More recently, ABBAesque joined with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra to perform the music of ABBA in the National Concert Hall.

Tickets for the Galway show are available from www.Ticketmaster.ie or from the Clayton Hotel’s reception. The Clayton has a special offer with bed, breakfast and tickets to the concert. Call 091721900 or visit www.claytonhotels.com/galway for details.
