The Galway Titans kicked off their 2024/2025 National League campaign with a home victory over Killarney Cougars on Saturday, October 5.

Despite a slow, tentative start for the Titans, who were down at the end of the first quarter, they stayed in touch with the visitors and clawed their way back to run out comfortable winners by a score-line of 98-77.

Five Titans players finished the game on double figures, two of whom were making their National League debut. Mike Gormley hit four timely three-pointers, while Fortune Igobokwe brought the capacity crowd to their feet with a thunderous alley-oop.

The Titans will look to build on their winning start as they travel to the UL Arena to face Limerick Sport Eagles on Saturday, October 12.
