Welsh choir Cor Meibion Ardudwy will perform in Galway this October

Renowned Welsh choir Cor Meibion Ardudwy is set to perform two special memorial concerts in aid of Galway Hospice this October.

The group will perform at Bearna/Barna Church on October 16 and St Augustine’s Church, Middle Street, Galway on October 17. The concert itself will be a mix of traditional and contemporary choral pieces.

The all male choir was formed in 1953. Members are from Harlech, an area where the Welsh language is still spoken by the majority. The choir sings in a variety of genres from pop to classical.

The choir has performed across the world from Denmark to England, and have become frequent visitors to Galway and Connemara in the past 35 years. They last performed concerts in Galway in 2019 to sell-out audiences.

Tickets for their Galway concerts are €10 per person, with children under 12 years free. Tickets are available from Galway Hospice in Renmore, by calling Galway Hospice Fundraising on 091-770868, online on galwayhospice.ie/shop and at the door. All funds raised go to Galway Hospice.
