Monroe’s goes disco

A weekend of funk, disco, and soul music is on the cards at Monroe’s Live this weekend.

Scottish trio, High Fade play on Friday, October 4, followed by DJ Macca on Saturday, October 5.

Renowned for their razor-sharp funk and disco sound, Edinburgh’s High Fade will bring their signature sound to Monroe’s Live from 9pm on Friday night.

They have has been riding high since the release of their single 'Bone To Pick’ from their upcoming album Life’s Too Fast recorded at the legendary RAK Studios in London.

Combining soulful influences like John Legend and Barry White with the energy of rock icons Kiss and Mötley Crüe, High Fade has a modern sound brimming with rhythmic disco grooves, funk, and soul.

From busking on the streets to viral hits, the band has racked up millions of streams and social media views with tracks like 'Sharpen Up,' 'Burnin,' and 'Burnt Toast and Coffee.'

Their live performances have drawn praise from stars Jack Black, Cypress Hill, and Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple.

Featuring Harry Valentino (guitar, vocals ), Oliver Sentance (bass ), and Calvin Davidson (drums, vocals ), they are known for their fierce electric guitar riffs, rapid-fire percussion, and explosive energy on stage.

Support on the night comes from Galway's own Amos Moses (formerly Ol' Times ), a classic rock band drawing inspiration from legends like Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones. Formed in 2019, Amos Moses performances are filled with rock nostalgia.

On Saturday, October 5, DJ Macca takes control of the decks from 11pm with his signature blend of '80s and '90s hits, and retro anthems. DJ Macca creates the ideal soundtrack for a night out, filled with the golden eras of dance music.
