Scottish folk band Talisk return to Monroe’s Live on Saturday, October 26 at 8pm.
The band have played in Galway before, and have headlined the Galway Folk Festival. Now they will make their return after finishing up their tour across the USA and Canada.
Their music could be described as a blend of traditional Celtic music with a modern, upbeat twist with concertina, fiddle and guitar instrumentals.
Comprising Mohsen Amini, Charlie Galloway, and Benedict Morris, Talisk’s have been making music for a decade and have won several awards for their work. Their debut album, Abyss set the tone for their genre-bending style, while their follow-ups, Beyond and Dawn garnered five-star reviews.
Their mix of traditional folk mixed with modernism has made Talisk one of Scotland's most unique folk bands.
Tickets cost €20 and are available from www.monroes.ie
