Burglary at Boireann Bheag, Roscam

Gardai in Oranmore Garda Station are investigating a burglary which took place on Monday, September 30 between 3am and 3:30am at a childcare centre in Boireann Bheag, Roscam. The intruder gained entry through the rear window of the premises.

Criminal Damage at

Liam Mellows Terrace

Gardai in Galway are investigating an incident of criminal damage by fire that occurred at a residence at Liam Mellows Terrace on Friday, September 27 at approximately 4am.

No injuries were reported at the time. However, substantial damage was caused to the front of the property. The scene was preserved and a technical examination was carried out.

Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this incident or to anyone who may have observed any unusual activity in the area at this time. Any road users or pedestrians who were travelling in the area around this time and who may have camera footage (including dash cam ) are asked to make this available to Galway Gardai on 091 538 000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111

Criminal Damage at Bohermore

Gardai in Galway are investigating an incident of criminal damage at Coole Park, Bohermore, Galway on Tuesday, September 24 at approx. 3:30pm.

The windows of a black Renault Megane were smashed by a male carrying a metal bar.

Theft from a vehicle at Abbeygate Street

Gardai in Galway are investigating the theft of a taxi roof sign from a marked taxi on Abbeygate Street, Galway on Wednesday, September 18 at 3am.

The taxi was parked at Abbeygate Street Lower. CCTV footage shows 3 males taking the taxi sign. The taxi sign number is 13477 and its owner is anxious to have their property returned.

Galway United welcome Dundalk FC to the Eamonn Deacy Park on Friday October 4 2024.

Kick off is at 7:45pm. Gardai wish to inform the general public to expect road closures in and around the stadium prior to and after the game. This is to facilitate the safe passage of supporters.
