Galway Wind Park scholarship now open for applicants

Co-owners of Galway Wind Park SSE Renewables and Greencoat Renewables are now taking applicants for the 2024 Galway Wind Park Scholarship Fund. The fund is available for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Students both part time and full time living within 15km of Galway?Wind?Park?in Connemara are applicable. Successful applicants will receive 50% grant support towards their annual fees for up to three years.

Now in its sixth year, 99 students so far have been successful in acquiring the grant. The programme supports students attending both Atlantic Technological University (ATU ) and University of?Galway, as well as other third level institutions in Ireland. It aims to help support students future careers in STEM ( Science, technology, engineering and maths ).

Vicky Boden, Community Investment Manager at SSE Renewables, said,?“SSE Renewables is proud to continue our partnership with Greencoat Renewables for the sixth year, empowering local students to pursue their dreams of higher education. This scholarship programme is more than just financial support; it’s an investment in the future leaders of our community.”
