Toyota Ireland last week revealed the all-new Land Cruiser at the National Ploughing Championships, which marries a bold blend of classic design and modern innovation with practicality.
The power is said to be noticeable from the same 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine – something Land Cruiser drivers wanted to see in the latest model of the iconic vehicle – and is now paired with an eight-geared automatic transmission. And just like the Toyota Hilux, the new Land Cruiser now has a towing capacity of up three and a half tonnes.
Noticeable changes on the interior include the Toyota Safety Sense technologies, electric power steering, adaptive cruise control and a more spacious interior.
Also at the Ploughing this year, Toyota introduced the Corolla Professional Hybrid, a vehicle tailor-made for business professionals looking to reduce their carbon footprint.
The only hybrid in its commercial category, Toyota says the Corolla Professional is the ideal fleet choice for architects, surveyors, site managers, and salespeople, who will benefit from the low eight per cent BIK, reduced emissions, and better fuel efficiency compared to a conventional vehicle.
The 1.8-litre hybrid engine powered Corolla Professional offers the same interior, handling, safety systems and stability as its Corolla family stablemates. The main difference is the interior format which features two front seats and a spacious rubber lined loading area, coupled with a full height metal bulkhead.
The Corolla Professional’s interior also features an eight-inch multimedia display with DAB and Bluetooth, smartphone integration including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, and heated, height-adjustable seats with driver lumbar support.
