Tea at the g for breast cancer research

To help celebrate October, breast cancer awareness month, the g Hotel will host ‘Afternoon Tea a the g’ in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute on Sunday, October 6.

The annual event kicks-off at 3pm with a sparkling reception in the newly decorated grand salon followed by an afternoon tea of delicious treats from the creative culinary team at the g.

Proceeds will go to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute research team based at the Lambe Institute, University of Galway. The institute-funded researchers are currently working on major national and international projects to improve the diagnosis and treatment for those diagnosed with breast cancer, where current statistics show that 1 in 7 Irish women will develop breast cancer before they reach the age of 75 with over 3,500 cases diagnosed annually.

Sponsored by Tom Doyle Motors, Loughrea, the charity event promises to be a real treat filled day with fun, music and good food.
