Criminal damage in Newcastle

Between 1am and 8am on Wednesday, September 11 a window was broken in the front of a house in Inishannagh Park in Newcastle. Gardaí are appealing for anyone with any information to contact Galway Garda Station 091-538000.

Between 7pm on Tuesday September 9 and 6pm on Wednesday September 10, there was damage caused to two vehicles while parked at Newell Homes, Snipe Avenue in Newcastle. The first a 12LD Volkswagen Golf had damage to the rear driver’s door. The second, a foreign registration white Vauxhall Corsa had its rear passenger fly window broken. Car set alight in Claregalway

On Friday September 13 at approximately 2am, a 10D silver Ford S Max was set alight outside a house in Cuirt Na Habhann in Claregalway.

Theft from MPV

Between 7pm on Sunday November 26 and 1am on Monday November 27, an 11G brown Skoda was broken into in Snipe Avenue in Newcastle.

The passenger window was broken with a rock in order to gain entry to the vehicle.

VW Tiguan stolen on

Merchants Road

Between 8pm and 10pm on Saturday the 14th of September a 181D grey Volkswagen Tiguan was stolen from Hynes Yard car park on Merchants Road.

This vehicle was subsequently recovered the following day in Glenn Na Mona, Ballymoneen Road in Knocknacarra. Gardaí are appealing for anyone who has any information in relation to the theft or may have observed the vehicle been driven or abandoned to contact Galway Garda Station 091-538000 or the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111.

Burglaries at Hazel Park and Taylors Hill

Between 3pm on Friday September 13 and 9am on Sunday September 15, a burglary occurred at a house in Hazel Park in Newcastle.

A quantity of cash and jewellery was taken during the break in. Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed any persons or vehicles acting suspicious in the area to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-53800 or the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111.

Between 6pm on Friday and 9.30am on Saturday 13-14, a burglary occurred at a house on Taylors Hill in Galway.

Man mugged at Ballybane Road

On Friday, September 6 between 5pm and 7pm, a male was walking near the bus stop on the Ballybane Road opposite Tesco.

He was approached by 4/5 males approximately 17/18 years old. As the injured party turned to walk away, he was struck from behind rendering him unconscious.

When he came to his wallet and mobile phone were missing.
