Má tá tú ag smaoineamh ar mheánscolaíocht i dtimpeallacht thacúil trí mheán na Gaeilge, b’fhéidir gurb é Coláiste an Eachréidh an rogha ceart duitse.

Cén fáth Coláiste an Eachréidh? Why choose Coláiste an Eachréidh?

The team at Coláiste an Eachréidh pride themselves on offering a caring, inclusive atmosphere where each student is supported to reach their full potential. The ethos is centred around respect, collaboration, and holistic development, helping students grow academically, socially and personally.

Ábhair trí mheán na Gaeilge - subjects through Irish

One of the unique aspects of the school is the opportunity to study all subjects through the medium of Gaeilge. Subjects like mathematics, science, history, French and more are taught entirely in Irish, allowing students to develop their fluency and confidence in the language while mastering their chosen subjects.

For students with varying levels of Irish, we offer support programmes to ensure everyone succeeds, whether they are fluent speakers or still building their language skills. Bonus points of 10 per cent are given to students in the Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle exams.

Sármhaitheas acadúil agus raon leathan Ábhar - Academic excellence and a wide range of subjects

The school is committed to offering a broad and balanced curriculum, ensuring that every student can pursue their interests and talents. In addition to the core subjects, it offers a full range of other subjects including art, music, geography, woodwork, technical graphics, metalwork, home economics, business, German, religious education, physical education, CSPE, wellbeing and SPHE. The school's dedicated teachers work closely with students to foster a love of learning, critical thinking, and creativity. Over 40 per cent of the Leaving Cert class of 2024 received more than 500 points, placing them among the top-performing students in the country. Among them, Theo Mac an Ghearr achieved the top marks of 625 points.

Tacaíocht do gach dalta - Nurturing environment and support for all students

Coláiste an Eachréidh understands that the transition to secondary school can be a big step, which is why the team place great emphasis on pastoral care. The school community is a supportive one, where students are encouraged to be themselves and feel valued. It offers mentoring programmes, guidance counselling and extracurricular activities to ensure that each student feels at home and thrives, both inside and outside the classroom.

Spóirt agus clubanna - Sport and clubs

The team at Coláiste an Eachréidh believe that education is about more than just what happens in the classroom. That’s why they offer a diverse range of sports and extracurricular clubs to cater to the interests of every student. Whether you’re passionate about GAA, soccer, athletics, volleyball or basketball, there is a sports team that give students the chance to develop teamwork, fitness and leadership skills.
