Launched this week by University of Galway Students’ Union, the Freshers Fair will take place on the University of Galway campus on Thursday, September 19 from 11am until 3pm.

The event is set to welcome students back to campus with lots of fun activities, freebies and prizes. There will be food stalls from the Galway Market Traders and a vintage clothing pop-up shop.

The SU will also be distributing its 'Rudaí Áille' reusable tote bags, which will be full of freebies and information for students. There will be giant games on the day, plus lots of offers, prizes and surprises from student friendly businesses from Galway and beyond. The Freshers Fair will also feature the ever popular, SU Outdoor Cinema on Tuesday, September 24.

Students’ Union President, Faye Ní Dhomhnaill said, “We wanted to give University of Galway's students a big welcome to campus with a huge Freshers Fair. We also have lots of events planned for our new and returning students throughout this month.”

Students’ Union Vice President / Welfare and Equality Officer Chloe Anderson added, “This event is a great chance for our students to meet up, make friends, have some fun and get to know campus. We are again focusing on sustainability with our Rudaí Áille reusable tote bags and the vintage clothing pop-up shop. ”
