Just as actor Daniel Craig brought a grittier side to 007, Galwegian musician Daniel Cohen has reimagined the classic Bond tune with a darker, haunted edge.
Cohen’s new single, ‘Man of Shadows’ is a James Bond-inspired song. A life-long admirer of the classic films, in this track Cohen depicts a darker look at Ian Flemming’s iconic character.
Well regarded as a music producer and manager for a decade, Cohen launched his own solo career in 2022. His first single, ‘Will You Ride With Me Tonight?’, followed by ‘Cosmic Collisions’ and ‘Star People’ wracked up over half a million Spotify streams, winning acclaim in the US, including from Hollywood royalty Kevin Costner.
Cohen’s latest offering was produced by long-time collaborator Seamus O’Duigneain from Sligo, now based in Shanghai.
The track will be released on streaming platforms from this Saturday, September 7.
