Glanua Raises €26,000 for Croí at Loughrea Golf Classic

Glanua, a leading water and wastewater company based in Loughrea raised an incredible €25,920 for the heart and stroke charity, Croí. The funds were raised during a recent Golf Classic held at Loughrea Golf Club.

Karl Zimmerer, Group Managing Director of Glanua, expressed his delight at the event's success, "We are delighted that our third Golf Classic in support of Croí was a huge success. It was a fantastic event that not only raised vital funds for heart and stroke services in the West of Ireland, but also brought our industry together to champion the importance of heart health. Over 80 golf enthusiasts from our supply chain, clients and employees travelled from all over the country to Loughrea Golf Club to support our event. We were also very pleased to have Croí join us on the day providing valuable advice and awareness of heart disease and stroke."

For nearly 40 years, Croí has been making a significant impact on the lives of people in the West of Ireland. The organisation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those affected by heart disease and stroke through its patient support services and preventative programs.

Mark O’Donnell, Croí Chief Executive, said “We are very grateful for the exceptional support from Glanua and all of the companies who took part in the event. This very significant donation is sincerely appreciated and will go to directly support our services in communities across the West.”

Glanua also acknowledged the overwhelming support from its supply chain partners, which played a crucial role in the event's success. Karl added, "We’d like to thank our generous suppliers, our incredible staff for organising, and Loughrea Golf Club for hosting the event. We were blown away by the support and all funds raised are going directly to Croí to improve the lives of those affected by heart disease and stroke in our community. "
