Calloing all young techies — new Tech Youth Club in Galway

Are you passionate about technology and eager to make a difference in young lives? Foróige are excited to announce the launch of a brand-new Tech Youth Club and they are calling on dedicated volunteers to help bring this project to life.

‘Circuit Breakers’ is an initiative designed to empower young girls with the essential skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the digital age.

Through hands-on activities, mentorship, and workshops, young people aged 13-18 can explore coding, robotics, graphic design and more.

This club will provide a safe and inclusive space for youth to explore their curiosity, develop critical problem-solving skills, and spark their creativity in a fun and engaging environment.

To ensure the success of this exciting new program, organisers are looking for enthusiastic volunteers. No prior tech experience in tech is required, Foróige provides training and support.

All you need is a curiosity about how the world works and willingness to give it a go. All volunteers will be Garda vetted by Foróige and complete mandatory Child Protection and Starting Out Training. There will be an information session in Portershed a Dhó on August 27th, 5pm to 8pm or contact [email protected] for more information.
