A series of biodiversity workshops for young people will take place in Galway later this month.
Participants are invited to join the Galway City biodiversity officer, artists, ecologists, and librarians for a fun-filled morning, connecting with local green spaces in Galway city.
While rediscovering pockets of nature in the city, you can also find out about the city's wild plants and animals, make natural art, and make new friends.
Each event will start at an outdoor green space in the city, before proceeding to the nearby library for more fun activities.
Events will take place in Merlin Woods Community Garden and Ballybane Library on Thursday, August 22 (ages six to nine years ); Westside Community Garden and Westside Library on Friday, August 23 (ages nine to 12 years ); and in Woodquay Park and Galway City Library on Saturday, August 24 (ages 13 to 18 years ).
All events will run from 9.30am to 1pm. Booking is essential for each event; to book a place visit https://bit.ly/4cFJhLt
