'Hold your horses', the annual 'Pink Friday' charity event at The Ardilaun Hotel returns

Promising fun, food and racing in support of National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI ), 'Pink Friday' at The Ardilaun will take place from 12 noon on Friday, August 2.

It is that time of year again when the team at The Ardilaun Hotel are busy preparing for another busy Galway Races Summer Festival. With a week of exciting events planned, one of the highlights of this year's Galway Festival is 'Pink Friday at The Ardilaun', a luncheon event in support of the NBCRI which will promises a day of fun, food and racing, so hold your horses and enjoy the ride.

The event will begin with a sparkling bubbly and an Ardilaun signature cocktail reception which will begin at 12 noon. The reception will feature pink beverages sponsored by Dingle Distillery and Poachers Drinks and live music.

Guests are encouraged to get glammed up, making sure to wear a splash of pink to be in with a chance to win the 'Best Dressed' competition sponsored by Anthony Ryan's. An impromptu fashion show sponsored by Mervue Organic Skincare will also take place during the Pink Friday event.

Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a sumptuous four course lunch with Eno Fine Wines and The Vineyard, followed by activities such as a charity raffle, and music bingo fun hosted by The Benen Tierney Experience. Special guest on the day is flat jockey, Amy Jo Hayes who will be giving her personal racing tips before heading out to Ballybrit.

Managing director of The Ardilaun Hotel, John Ryan said, "We are delighted to have supported such a worthy event for the NBCRI for more than 11 years, and with Pink Friday this year, we hope to inject more fun, fashion and frolics whilst also contributing to the good work being done by Professor Michael Kerin and his team.”

Proceeds from the event will directly support NBCRI, a charity that is positively impacting future outcomes for breast cancer patients by funding world-class breast cancer research at University of Galway, under the stewardship of Professor Michael Kerin.
