The lads from Donegal are Onóir

After their rendition of ‘The Auld Triangle’ went viral, contemporary folk group Onóir has taken the music scene by storm, and will perform at Monroe’s Live on Saturday, September 7.

Buoyed by the international success of their initial internet hit, which garnered over three million views online, subsequent videos like ‘The Parting Glass’ and ‘Wayfaring Stranger’ encouraged them to pursue music as a group.

Since then, they have released a self-titled debut album and are touring at home and abroad.

Comprising of musicians Tom McHugh, Declan Gaughan, Deane Connaghan, and Diarmaid McGee, Onóir’s distinctive vocal styles and arrangements set new standards in the genre, distinguishing them as an exceptional group.

“When we sing together it just sounds different,” they say. “Hopefully, different in a positive, melodic way.”

Tickets €30 for seated show available from www.monroes.ie
