One of Galway’s favourite indie folk-rock bands are back in town, planning to drop a set at Monroe’s Live on Saturday, August 24.
The Amazing Apples are expected to deliver a high energy stage performance, with rousing renditions of Irish, Americana, dance, and heavy rock anthems.
With signature harmonies, compelling lyrics and a mix of their own compositions and covers, the band has evolved to become folk-rock stalwarts at home and abroad.
A tour-de-force on the live music scene, these exceptionally talented multi-instrumentalists have shared the stage with artists including Mumford & Sons, Walking on Cars, The Coronas, Gavin James, Ryan Sheridan, Damien Dempsey, The Riptide Movement, Sharon Shannon and Paddy Casey.
Their debut album A Little Sense went straight to number three in the Irish indie charts. Critics describe the Apples’ style of music as influenced by The Dubliners and The Waterboys.
Since then, the Amazing Apples have played at prominent music festivals and venues across Ireland including Electric Picnic, Indiependence, Sea Sessions, and the Westport Festival.
Further afield, they've captivated audiences in international cities such as New York, Boston, Switzerland, Romania, and Britain.
Tickets to The Amazing Apples on Saturday, August 24 at 9pm cost €10 and are available from www.monroes.ie
