Gary McMahon recently celebrated his retirement from Galway City Council - after 24 years’ service, and three terms at the helm of the Galway City local elections, as Returning Officer – or ‘The Count’.
Over nearly two and a half decades of service, Gary worked in Corporate Services, Community and Culture, and Economic Development, working closely with staff, Elected Members, businesses, and the public, to deliver services in the City. Gary continues to present ACE – Arts, Culture and Entertainment, on Galway Bay FM, introducing new, young and diverse artists to the people of Galway.
