‘Courageous’ singer for Galway Arts Festival

Renowned for her captivating voice that has been likened to Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush, singer-songwriter Róisín O will perform at Monroe’s on Wednesday, July 24th at 8pm as part of the Galway International Arts Festival.

The daughter of Mary Black, Róisín has carved her own path in the music industry, sharing the stage with a host of internationally renowned artists, including Lionel Richie, Bryan Ferry, Brad Paisley, Hozier, and Colin Hay. Her career, marked by critically acclaimed albums and singles, is built on an extraordinary talent and unique vocals.

Since the release of her debut album, The Secret Life of Blue, in 2012, Róisín has been celebrated for her introspective and powerful song writing.

Her talent has taken her around the world, performing in the Netherlands, the US, Sweden, Germany, and Australia.

She has also performed for President Michael D Higgins alongside Bono, Christy Moore, Glen Hansard, and others.

Her 2022 album Courageous garnered significant acclaim, featuring hit tracks like ‘Heart + Bones’, ‘Still Gold’, and the top-20 single ‘2023’.
