Burglary in Newcastle

Gardaí in Galway are investigating the break-in to two houses in the Hazel Park estate that occurred on the morning of Tuesday, June 18.

A male wearing a balaclava was observed fleeing the scene on a push bike at around 1.40am.

Burglary in Ballygar

Gardaí are appealing for information following a burglary at a house in Ballygar last week.

This incident occurred on Tuesday June 11 between 1pm and 1.20pm. The owners of a house at Cloonascarberry South, Ballygar, returned home to find a number of men running from the property. These men fled from the back of the house, through the fields to a waiting black Audi A4 car with a 06 DL registration number.

Anyone who may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area, or who may come across this black Audi A4 in the Ballygar area on Tuesday June 11, is asked to contact Ballygar Garda Station on 091 6624512.

Burglary in Glinsk

A piece of jewellery stolen from a house in Ballincurry, Glinsk, on Tuesday June 11.

Entry was gained through the back door of the premises. A dress watch was stolen from the house.

Gardaí in Creggs are appealing to anyone who may have seen any persons or vehicles acting suspiciously in the Glinsk area on the day in question to contact them at Creggs Garda Station on 090 6621112.

Dog stolen from van in Loughrea

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a dog from a van in Loughrea last week.

This occurred while the white Peugeot Partner van was parked in Piggott Street in the town between 10.30am and 10.45am on Wednesday June 12.

The owner left the van unlocked and went into a nearby shop. When he returned the dog, a grey and white shih tzu, had been taken from the vehicle.

Anyone who may have witnessed somebody taking the dog from the vehicle, or who may know the current whereabouts of this dog, is asked to contact Loughrea Garda Station on 091 842870.

Theft from car in Athenry

Between 2am and 09.15am on Saturday last a blue Toyota Corolla car was broken into at Cashla, Athenry. The driver’s door was forced open and a number of items were taken from the vehicle.

Anybody who may have witnessed any persons or vehicles acting suspiciously in the area on the night in question is asked to contact Athenry Garda Station on 091 844016.

Parking restrictions for Galway v Monaghan this weekend

Galway play Monaghan at Pearse Stadium this Saturday at 4pm. Gardaí in Salthill are advising motorists that there will be parking restrictions close to the stadium, and to expect traffic delays.
