Club 30 will have you home before midnight

From slow sets to throwback anthems from the Eighties, Nineties and Noughties, Club 30 is an over-30s club night this Saturday, June 22, taking place from 6pm to 10pm, at Monroe’s Live.

Having sold out numerous shows in Cork, Club 30 comes to Galway this weekend, an event dedicated to those 30 and over who are looking forward to a night out, without the late night.

“This is an evening clubbing experience where the party wraps up in time for you to grab some food, get home early enough for you to put your feet up, or for Match of the Day!” says organiser Eoin Aher.

“In our teens and twenties, we could let loose every weekend and dance all our cares away until the wee hours. When we hit our thirties however, the chances for a late night out get slimmer due to various reasons like children, shift work, clubs being 'too young' or those Saturday, late-night troubles queuing for a chipper and waiting for a taxi.

“We even have slow sets,” says Eoin “from Celine Dion to Robbie Williams and so much more. It’s good fun.”

This is a strictly 30 and over event and ID will be required.

“I often say if you don’t have your ID, you can produce your Xtra Vision card,” Eoin jokes. “If you don’t know what that is, you don’t belong at Club 30.”
