The 30th Croí Corrib Charity Cycle concluded with resounding success on Sunday, 9th June 2024, as over 700 enthusiastic cyclists pedalled their way through the picturesque landscapes from Dangan through Connemara, finishing at Croí House, Newcastle.

This year’s event was particularly special as it marked the 30th anniversary of the charity cycle, making the remarkable achievement even more significant. The event surpassed all expectations and raised vital funds to support Croí’s lifesaving work, bringing together cyclists from all walks of life to improve cardiovascular health.

None of this would have been possible without the generous support of the main event sponsor, Corrib Oil, who have been involved since the event’s inception thirty years ago.

Croí also extends its heartfelt gratitude to the other sponsors, Al Hayes Motors, Caragh Precision, and Westside Cycles, the many volunteers for their invaluable contributions, and University of Galway Sports Unit for hosting the event start.

The funds raised from the 30th Croí Corrib Charity Cycle will be utilised to advance Croí’s ongoing initiatives, including community education programmes, prevention programmes and support services such as Croí Connects (Croí’s phone and online support service ), focused on cardiovascular health and stroke supports.

With the help of participants and sponsors, Croí can make a tangible impact in saving lives and improving the lives of individuals affected by heart disease and stroke. To view the image gallery from the event, visit www.croi.ie
