The Centre for Adult Learning & Professional Development are hosting their annual Information Evening on campus on Thursday June 20, 2024 from 5.30-7.30pm in the Human Biology Building. They are delighted to announce their part-time courses offerings for 2024/25 including their Springboard+ courses and the new learner subsidy for Micro-credentials. Springboard+ and Human Capital Initiative (HCI ) funded courses are 100% funded for the unemployed and returners, and 90% funded for employed.
New for 2024, the micro-credentials learner fees subsidy provides an 80% or 50% subsidy for courses addressing skills in key priority areas, including renewable energy, sustainability, construction and planning, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, ICT, and electronic engineering.
This event creates an opportunity for students to meet representatives from our part-time courses which will be showcased at the event, including the subject areas of Business & Management, Science & Technology, Languages, Arts & Humanities, Community Education, and Pre-University Courses.
“We have created flexible learning pathways from micro-credential to masters for learners seeking a short, accredited module or a longer-term course”, explains Nuala McGuinn, Director at the Centre for Adult Learning and Professional Development.
Over the course of the evening prospective students will have an opportunity to join one of our talks exploring part-time courses & micro-credentials, understanding NFQ Levels, and grasping the RPL process and how it can support your eligibility for study. Students will get expert tips from our Multimedia Content Developer on online learning and our Career Development team will share advice and resources to support you in your next step. You will also learn about the career support available to registered students.
Students will also get a chance to hear from our graduates and students on how to maintain a healthy work/life/study balance. You can register for this event here.
