From weight loss success to empowering others: Joanna’s journey with Slimming World

Joanna Doyle has lost two stone with Slimming World, and is now using that experience to inspire others.

It all started with a photograph from a family holiday that served as a wake-up call for Joanna. After years of struggling with her weight and having an autoimmune disease which affects her metabolism, she was determined to reclaim her health and confidence. “What was different when I joined Slimming World was the flexibility of their eating plan," she said. "I never felt deprived and I couldn’t believe that I could lose weight so easily while still enjoying meals like hunter's chicken, dirty fries, and chicken pizza.”

But Joanna’s success goes beyond just the numbers on the scale. With the help of her supportive Slimming World group, she learned to change her mindset and develop healthier habits. “I know I couldn’t have lost weight consistently without the weekly support, encouragement and understanding of my own consultant Mairead and my group,” she added.

Losing the weight has given Joanna the self-belief to change her life in other ways too. “I work full time, I am a mum, a wife, and a carer to my mum who has dementia so I understand firsthand the challenges that can lead to weight gain,” she says. “That’s why I’m thrilled to announce my new role as a Slimming World consultant. I’m now on a mission to empower others on their own weight loss journeys.”

Joanna will be launching her group in the Clybaun Hotel every Wednesday at 5.30pm and 7pm, starting on June 19. With her firsthand experience, and her recent training at the Slimming World Academy, Joanna is ready to guide others towards achieving their dream weight.
