Succession star Brian Cox to be honoured at 36th Galway Film Fleadh

Succession star and renowned actor Brian Cox will be a key guest of the Galway Film Fleadh this year for a highly anticipated public interview as part of the 36th edition of the festival, offering a rare chance to hear from the veteran.

During the festival, Cox will be honoured with the Galway Hooker Award for Outstanding Achievement, the festival’s highest award.

Cox, most recently known for his role in HBO’s Succession, has established himself as a versatile performer, garnering critical acclaim and prestigious awards. His accolades include a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series and a Primetime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for his remarkable portrayal of Hermann Goering in Nuremberg. His extensive film credits include Troy, Zodiac, Braveheart, Manhunter, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Bourne Trilogy and much more.

Cox,s, a veteran of the London stage, has won two Olivier Awards for Best Actor? for his performances in Titus Andronicus for the Royal Shakespeare Company and Rat in the Skull for the Royal Court. Currently gracing the London stage in the West End production of Long Day’s Journey Into Night, Cox continues to captivate audiences with his talent and dedication to the craft.

The public interview led by RTÉ Arena presenter, Seán Rocks will take place on Sunday, 14th of July at 3pm at the Galmont Hotel and tickets are €15.
