Tickets are selling fast for a very special charity lunch with Dr Karen Weekes on Friday, 24 May at the g Hotel, in aid of COPE Galway. Karen, an endurance adventurer and performance psychologist, will reveal her insights on making the most of your potential, overcoming challenges and pushing beyond boundaries to achieve your personal goals.
As well as Karen’s inspirational talk, the lunchtime event will include a drinks reception, followed by a delicious three-course meal and a chance to meet with like-minded people.
In February 2022, Karen became the first Irish female to row 3,000 miles solo and unsupported across the Atlantic Ocean. Karen specialises in cognitive and practical coping strategies, pressure management and specific mechanisms for proactive motivation to achieve optimal performance in competitive business and sporting environments.
COPE Galway’s Fundraising Manager, Lynia O’Brien promises that the afternoon will be inspiring and fun: “Karen is an amazing communicator with a hugely positive outlook. We are very much looking forward to learning more about her considerable achievements and how her skills are transferrable towards the life challenges we all meet every day.”
There are fantastic prizes to be won, including Ballymaloe Cookery School and sold out Saw Doctors tickets.
