Galway Racecourse to partner with flat jockey Amy Jo Hayes

This year, as part of their Summer Festival line up, Galway Racecourse announced that they are partnering with flat jockey Amy Jo Hayes for 2024. The team at Galway Racecourse love to showcase and champion new ideas and talent for their iconic Summer Festival that takes place from Monday 29 July to Sunday 4 August.

Hailing from Tipperary, Amy Jo Hayes will be part of the Ballybrit team in the build-up to and during the seven-day Festival.

Commenting on this new partnership, Chief Executive of Galway Racecourse Michael Moloney said: “We have such a strong army of loyal passionate fans we wanted to bring them deeper into our sport and offer them fun content direct from within our industry. We saw Amy Jo Hayes win her Horse Racing Ireland ‘Ride of the Year Award’ last year and had been following her journey. She is a very impressive hard-working jockey and what better way to showcase her journey than through the lens of Irelands largest horse racing festival.”

Amy Jo Hayes expressed her excitement at the new partnership: “I am absolutely delighted to be part of the Ballybrit Galway races team. It is an honour to be associated with such an exhilarating race week at the Galway festival. I am looking forward to partnering my career with the Galway races team and cannot wait for what the future holds. Looking forward to seeing you all there for the Galway festival 2024.”

The Galway Races looks forward to welcoming its race goers back to Ballybrit for one amazing week that offers its guests great horse racing, entertainment, fashion, reunions with friends and family, and an electric atmosphere that continues to draw people from all over the world.

Galway Races will treat their audience to exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses via their social media platforms, showcasing a blend of entertaining and informative content capturing the essence of a dedicated athlete’s journey, from triumphs to challenges and everything in between.
