James Reynolds has officially launched his campaign for the European parliamentary elections in the Midlands-North-West constituency.
At an event in Athlone organised by the National Party, of which the County Longford farmer has been leader since last year, he addressed numbers of friends and supporters, and outlined a clear programme based around two key objectives: — to save rural Ireland and to end mass immigration
This meeting served as a highly relevant follow-up to Reynolds’ debate appearance at the IFA’s Midlands-North-West MEP candidate meeting in Claremorris on Wednesday May 2.
In that debate, Reynolds stood in stark contrast to his opponents by way of his absolute rejection of the “green” agenda.
While other speakers at that event pleaded as to how they would help to mitigate the effects of harmful anti-rural and anti-agricultural policies, the National Party leader was bold enough to declare that the whole faux-ecological program must be thrown out, with the savings being billions of Euros on a European level- going towards a doubling of the CAP budget.
