Oranmore Gardaí are investigating a burglary incident which occurred on Thursday, April 25 between 6:30pm and 6:45pm at Shankill, Annaghdown.

Burglars interrupted in Dunmore

Gardaí in Tuam are investigating a burglary that occurred at Roy, Dunmore on Thursday, April 25 at 5:39pm, where the owner returned and interrupted intruders that were in the property.

Witnesses reported two males with balaclavas wearing dark clothing leaving the area in a black Audi coupe type car, and leaving in the direction of Tuam.

Car egged in Murrough

Gardaí in Galway are investigating a criminal damage incident that occurred at An Móinéar, Murrough, Galway city between 9pm on Wednesday, April 24 and 3:37am on Thursday, April 25.

A car that had been parked up had been egged causing damage to the vehicle.

Front windscreen smashed in Loughrea

Gardaí in Loughrea are investigating a criminal damage incident that occurred between 11:30pm and 11:59pm on Saturday, April 27 at Piggott’s Street, Loughrea.

The owner of a car came out to discover the front windscreen of their car had been smashed.

Connacht Football Final traffic restrictions

Galway Gardaí would like to remind motorists that the Connacht Football Final is scheduled for Pearse Stadium, Salthill this coming Sunday, May 5 with a throw in time of 4pm. There will be traffic restrictions in place close to the stadium and on the access roads in the area.

Gardaí would like to remind all motorists to park legally, not obstruct footpaths or the free flow of other motorists, and not to obstruct the driveways of local residents. There will be a Garda traffic management plan in place from early morning and motorists are urged to get there early and be prepared to walk as parking places are limited.

Gates at Pearse Stadium open at 2:30pm and there will be a cordon in place around Pearse Stadium and vehicles will not be allowed to access the inner cordon except for permit holders and local residents. The bus lanes on Bishop O’Donnell road and Seamus Quirke Road will be open before and after the match to help with the flow of traffic.
