His passion for the nature and wildlife in the Burren is obvious as he talks to you about the different birds, seals, sea sponges, inlets, and islands you kayak past on the tour.
With five different paddling locations, each tour is different depending on the weather and the southern and northern winds. The currents decide where is best to go as you set out from the pier. Delve into Irish history as you paddle to the ruins of Gleninagh Castle and it’s nearby holy well. Here you might be able to take a break from the kayaks to wander the ancient grounds or you might stop on a nearby sandy beach that becomes an island on a high tide. All tours are weather dependent and what is best for your safety will be determined by Patrick ahead of your kayaking session.
No experience is necessary to take part on a North Clare Sea Kayaking tour, and all equipment will be provided from buoyancy aids to sea shoes.
