Break-in in Ballinasloe
At approximately 4:20am on Wednesday, April 17, two males were disturbed during the course of a break-in at a licenced premises in Kilkerrin, Ballinasloe. These males fled via the front door of the building.
Gardaí are appealing for anybody who may have noticed any persons or vehicles acting suspiciously in the area to contact Ballinasloe Garda Station on 090-963 1890.
Bike stolen from University of Galway
Between 6pm on Friday, April 12 and 11:30am on Saturday, April 13, a white Trek bike was stolen from the grounds of UG on University Road.

Front door window smashed in Newcastle
Between 10:30pm on Wednesday, April 17 and 3:30am on Thursday, April 18, a pane of glass was smashed in the front door of a house on the Newcastle Road in Galway.

Trailer and registration plates stolen in Gort
Gort Gardaí are investigating the theft of a Nugent branded cattle trailer from a farmyard at Rathcosgrove, Ardrahan on the night of April 17 or 18.
In addition, both registration plates were removed from a Volkswagen Caddy van bearing the number 171-G-1546, from which the stolen trailer was unhooked.

Laptop stolen from University of Galway
On Thursday, April 18 between 4:15pm and 5:45pm a HP laptop was stolen from a classroom in the Cairns Building in University of Galway.

Attempted arson in Knocknacarra
On Thursday, April 18 at 11:30pm an attempt was made to cause damage to a house in Slí Búrca on the Ballymoneen Road by means of arson. A glass bottle containing an accelerant was thrown at the front door of the house but failed to ignite.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have noticed any persons or vehicles acting suspiciously in the area to come forward. Also, anyone who may have CCTV on their house or possible dash cam footage please make it available to Gardaí at Salthill Garda station on 091-514 720.
