Clonboo Riding School which is marking its 40th anniversary this month, is located just a 10 minute drive from Galway city and it is open daily by appointment for lessons in its indoor and outdoor schools.
Catering for riders of all ages and with a focus on fun, lessons there make the perfect gift for any budding equestrian.
Celebrating 40 years, its motto in that time has been "ride for pleasure not under pressure" and they have followed this over the years, instilling a love of riding and knowledge of our four footed friends.
This family-run school with an international reputation has had visitors from all over the world but most notably our own President Michael D Higgins and his family were amng the attendees.
Clonboo Riding School opened in 1984 and has been teaching people of all ages the skills of horsemanship for nearly four decades. The school stresses the importance of riding safely, but there is a strong emphasis on having fun as well.
Classes are small to ensure individual attention. Young riders are a speciality and the school is open daily by appointment.
Side saddle lessons are also available for those who want to try something different.
