Helen Ogbu, the Labour Party candidate for Galway City East canvassed with Labour Party Leader Ivana Bacik to Roscam, where she spearheaded canvassing efforts alongside party officials and members, including Cllr. Amidst the canvassing, the Labour Party team encountered significant challenges faced by constituents in accessing childcare services. Women and families expressed their struggles in returning to work due to insufficient childcare options. Recognizing the critical importance of addressing this issue, the Labour Party emphasizes the need for the government to understand the profound impact of childcare accessibility on individuals and families. It is incumbent upon policymakers to ensure the availability of community childcare facilities to support the entire community.
