A night of exceptional music awaits in the Concert for Hope

HopeSpace Galway invites the public to the Galway Bay Hotel on Thursday, April 11 for a night filled with amazing music and positivity to raise funds for HopeSpace while enjoying music by Galway's local artists.

Ultan Conlon, Johnny Duhan, Kiltullagh Community Choir, The Opacas, The Bluebirds, COLOHAN & Aileen Henderson are just some of the acts on this talented line-up. Special guests will also perform on the night to support the work of HopeSpace Galway.

HopeSpace Galway is a children's grief support service that has been running since February 2023. Their facility in the SCCUL Enterprise Centre in Ballybane provides a warm, homely space where children and teenagers can share their thoughts and worries about grief in total confidence with a trained empathetic Listening Volunteer.

In the one-to-one sessions, children and teenagers from ages four to 17 are able to express their emotions in ways that are appropriate to their development stage through creative play, talking, and listening. Their emotions around their loss and grief are acknowledged and validated which helps them come to terms with their new reality and the changes in their lives.

Ultan Conlon is a Loughrea-born singer-songwriter who has been likened to the great Roy Orbison and has a unique ability to capture the human spirit through his lyrics. The Kiltullagh Community Choir has been performing soul, gospel, and classic hits for the past 15 years and have raised significant funds for charity during this time. The Opacas are a fun collaboration focused on Americana music, as well as original tracks. The Bluebirds are Galway based singers Jenny Groarke, Laura Lynn, and Lorraine Flanagan who weave together folk jazz and choral influences to create a sweet sound. COLOHAN is a mesmerising artist and guitarist hailing from Galway city and is a rising star in the music world. With the help of these talented people, it's promised to be a night of fantastic music in aid of a good cause.

Tickets are €20 plus booking fees and can be purchased from Eventbrite through bit.ly/Hopespace-ConcertForHope The concert doors at the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill, will open at 7pm and the show begins at 8pm.
