Fine Gael have added the Young Fine Gael President Eoghan Gallagher to their local election ticket in Athenry-Oranmore.
The 25-year-old is a qualified teacher who has significant experience working in politics, including working for Ministers, TDs, and in the European Parliament.
Gallagher said; “My family have been immersed in community all their lives and I have been actively involved since my childhood through sport, traditional music, charity, and other community activities.
“I want to bring my energy and experience to Galway County Council to deliver for this area, and ensure it is the best place to live, grow up, raise a family, grow old, work, and do business in.
“I look forward to working closely with the new Fine Gael party leader Simon Harris and will ensure he is well versed on the issues affecting this area.
“I am asking for the people of Athenry-Oranmore to give me their support with their number one vote come June 7. If elected, I will work hard with passion and commitment to deliver for our area.”
