A social dancing fundraiser event in aid of the Ella Farrell Cancer Treatment & Recovery Fund will take place this Sunday, March 24 March in Keanes Bar and Restaurant, Oranmore.
On January 29, 20-year-old final year University of Galway Student, Ella Farrell, a native of Ballinderreen, faced life changing news following the discovery of a large tumour located at the base of her brain. In the weeks leading up to her diagnosis, Ella had been complaining of headaches, nausea and imbalance while walking.
Supported by her parents, and two younger sisters, Sophie, and Hannah, Ella faces a challenging year ahead, with her treatment plan estimated to take over 14 months. Due to the aggressive nature of the treatment and the impact it will have on her physically and mentally, Ella will require full-time care.
Described as "an amazing young woman, so kind, generous and so funny," any donation to the and any donation is greatly appreciated.

Doors for the event will open in Keanes Bar, Oranmore at 5:30 pm. Admission is €10 at the door.
DJ Sam will provide music between 6 and 7 pm. Sinead Black will take to the stage from 7 pm to 9 pm. All support is welcome. A raffle for South Galway Bay Music Festival Tickets will take place on the night
