Award-winning investigative journalist, Nicola Tallant, will present a fascinating insight into her probing work into Ireland’s drug trade at the Town Hall Theatre on Saturday, April 6.

Her latest show ‘Cocaine Cowboys: The Deadly Rise of Ireland's Drug Lords’ is based on her latest book of the same name. It traces the route from the jungle labs of South America to Ireland’s own wild west drug frontiers of Europe.

Tallant meticulously follows the trail of white lines, unravelling the deals, successes, and catastrophic mishaps of this hidden, billion euro trade.

Last year, Tallant’s show ‘Omertà,’ on organised crime, sold out when she toured it to Galway.

With a career spanning numerous publications, her two previous books, The Witness and Clash of The Clans, solidified her reputation as a prominent voice in investigative journalism.

She also writes and produces the popular Crime World podcast and is known for her role as the investigations editor at the Sunday World.

Her current book, Cocaine Cowboys is the definitive account of Ireland's entanglement with the notorious narcotics trade and how it has influenced these shores.

Tickets to this fully seated show at the Town Hall Theatre are €25 and are available from www.monroes.ie
