On Mother’s Day, Sunday, March 10, the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI ) are asking everyone to ‘Walk in Pink’ for breast cancer research starting at 10:30 am from The Claddagh Hall to Blackrock and back.

If you can’t make it on the day, you can still register and do a walk virtually anytime or anywhere.

The event is organised by members of the NBCRI Galway Volunteer Fundraising Committee, who hope to help make a difference for the many Irish women suffering from breast cancer.

One in seven Irish women in their lifetime will be diagnosed with the disease with over 3,422 cases diagnosed annually.

By taking part you can help make a difference as funds raised from the walk will go directly to support the breast cancer research team at the Lambe Institute, University of Galway.

To take part in the walk, just register online at www.WalkInPink.ie for €25 and get a free bobble hat.
