Co Meath’s singer-songwriter Robert John Ardiff will perform on Saturday, February 24, as part of Monroe’s dual-stage ‘Isn’t It Midnight’ event.
Ardiff is a captivating storyteller. His blend of indie folk is inspired by Bob Dylan and Frank Harte and he is known for his free-flowing and introspective style.
With a career spanning several notable releases, including Between the Bed and Room and The Corridors of Love, he is back with his latest album tour for Once I Was.
His exploration of folk-pop and ability to experiment has taken him from the Choice nominated band Come On Live Along to a stand-out solo career.
There's a touch of the wandering troubadour in Robert John Ardiff, who has incorporated his travels across Barcelona, Lisbon, Rome, and Croatia into this work.
Beyond his solo endeavours, Ardiff has collaborated with filmmaker John Carney for the musical comedy drama Flora and Son, featuring actors Eve Hewson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Monroe’s Live ‘Isn’t It Midnight’ event, every Saturday night, is designed to showcase live bands and a DJ across two vibrant rooms at the award-winning venue.
This Saturday, February 24, also features Galway’s very own DJ Flako who brings the best Old Skool party hits from across the decades to the dance floor.
Tickets €10. Doors 11pm with Ardiff on stage at midnight.
