LYRA's last gig in Galway was sold-out

Excitement is building for pop sensation LYRA to headline Leisureland later this month.

Fresh from releasing the first single ‘Chess’ from her forthcoming self-titled album, the Co Cork pop star’s whirlwind tour lands in Galway on Thursday, February 29, at 7pm.

Inspired by her father who taught her to play chess, the new track highlights the challenges of navigating the music industry.

Known for her visually stunning performances, LYRA's free-spirited approach has firmly established her as a formidable female solo artist, with her last trip to Galway completely selling out a smaller venue at Monroe’s Live.

Her exhilarating blend of anthemic tunes, complemented by her extraordinary vocals, brings an edgy pop rock sound wrapped in glamour and unrestrained self-expression.

LYRA's musical journey began with her debut EP, W.I.L.D., produced by Rupert Christie, renowned for his collaborations with music legends like Kate Bush, Coldplay, and Aurora.

Her track ‘Falling’ was featured in the hit TV series Grey’s Anatomy, earning her a global audience and a nomination for Single of The Year at the RTÉ Choice Music Awards.

Since then, LYRA has accumulated millions of online streams, and graced prestigious festivals and venues across Ireland and Britain.

The rollercoaster journey continues with the spectacular success of hit singles like ‘Lose My Mind’ and a dancefloor collaboration with John Gibbons on Stevie Nicks’ classic ‘Edge Of Seventeen.’
