Equine assisted learning at Galway Equestrian Centre

Galway Equestrian Centre has announced the commencement of its summer pony camps. The camps, which are one week in duration, commence on June 29 and run weekly until the week of August 24, excluding the weeks commencing July 27 and August 3. The courses will cater for all grades, from beginners to advanced, and will educate students on how to look after a pony through riding, dressage, art, and much more.

Galway Equestrian Centre also provides regular classes for adults and children with all levels catered for, with the option of private or group lessons. The facilities at The Galway Equestrian Centre are second to none, with indoor and outdoor facilities available. The Galway Equestrian Centre is a venue for RDS competition qualifiers and host SJAI showjumping regularly. Canteen and refreshment facilities, along with the newly opened tack shop, are also present. The Galway Equestrian Centre is Fáilte Ireland and Aire approved, as well as BHS approved and structures.

Galway Equestrian Centre is also the only showjumping facility in the west of Ireland to be EAGALA approved, providing equine assisted learning therapy to young people. Staff are EAGALA qualified. The O'Brien family, who run Galway Equestrian Centre, have a strong tradition, with Thomas O'Brien just returning from spending seven months working with champion showjumper Cian O'Connor.
